The alarm is cancelled when the reset button on the receiver panel is pressed. Upon receiving an alarm signal, the corresponding indicator illuminates, and the sounder starts. This is a wall-mounted unit, featuring a number of indicators, a sounder and a reset button. The alarm is picked up on the 8 or 28 channel central receiver. It also has a reminder function and a 30/60 minute timer, which requires user intervention to prevent an automatic alarm from being activated.
